On the way back to New Jersey (Land of Milk and Honey) from Monterey, took a little Detour through Dallas (Don't Mess With) TX.  The Texas School Book Depository was creepy and amazing.  I almost couldn't leave.  I ate my first real TexMex fajita.  It was delicious and amazing.  The Forth Worth Stock Yards were kitchy and entertaining.  Good times.
