Nina and I had an export control conference and meetings to attend in Hong Kong on Monday and Tuesday, so we decided to make a weekend of it and head down to Hong Kong the Saturday before. Also making a weekend of it were 40,000 rugby fans, who had descended upon Hong Kong to watch the Rugby Sevens tournament, in theory, but in reality to have a debaucherous, drunken, rollicking good time in the streets of Lan Kwai Fong. Our co-worker, David, and Nina's brother John, joined us as we took in the festivities that dominated the city all weekend. We didn't do any of the typical tourist things, so you won't find any of those pictures here, but if you really need them, you can find them in my Taiwan TravelPod. Happy to report that we had our fun on Saturday and Sunday, and then made it to our meetings on Monday and Tuesday. Mission accomplished!
