Whats up everyone, I hope everyone is doing well. I went to Dresden, Germany this past weekend with one of the coaches. His fiancee and little girl Jada live up there right now so we went up to visit them and to scout a team we play in a few weeks. We left friday late morning for the normally 5 hour drive and got stuck in traffic about 45 minutes away from our destination. So the 5 hour drive ended up taking 7 hours. We were stalled for a good 2 hours because of a bad car accident. Once we got to Dresden though everything was great. I met the fiancee and hung out for awhile before Joe decided it was time to go out. Where we live in Austria, going out means going out till about 3 at the latest and going home. Going out in Germany means you go out until everyone else gets tired and wants to go home. The bars close when the last person leaves. We got home at 7am Saturday morning. Since we were visiting his family and doing the tourist thing, that meant we were up at around 11 to go sight seeing. That was rough at first. Once we got out and were walking around and seeing all the sights and learning all about the history of the city I was a new man. You through in a German Bratwerst and it was on. The US and Great Britain bombed Dresden during WWII and you could still see the after affects of it today. A lot of the building that survived are still charred. One of the Cathedrals was hit pretty hard, leaving only one wall standing. They rebuilt the Cathedral leaving the wall in place. The city is divided now into the new city, that has been built up since the coming down of the wall and the old city which was hit pretty hard during the war. I wish I could go on a little more about the city but I have had a long weekend and a long day. We have a game coming up this weekend so things have been a little crazy around here the past couple of days. I will tell you about my trip to Vienna, for our first game, sometime later this week. That whole weekend was a story. It was like one thing after another. The trip to Vienna was definitely a trip. I wouldn't even know where to begin though. I have seen things I thought I would never see in my life. I couldn't make any of it up even if I tried. Some of it is still giving me nightmares. Anyways, I'm tired I am pretty sure most of this section doesn't make any sense but oh well. Good night I will talk to you soon.
