We took a 2+ hour boat ride off the coast of Salvador, Bahia with Celo, Gui, and Cassio (Cau and others would come later), to our new island oasis home. No cars, no stress, only daily dilemmas, who gets what hammock, what beach to walk to, and which liquor to buy. The guys found us an awesome house, tucked away on the top of a hill with unbelievable views of the island and the ocean. We spent 3 months here with them, soaking up the sun, laughing, drinking, partying, making new friends, cooking, becoming a local, learning, and loving it! We had our 4 main guys, Cau, Celo, Gui, and Cassio, but also Jacques, Schmii, Ricardo and his girlfriend, Jay the S. African, Roxy the first in a long line of brits, Asal, the second, James & Jonny, the third and fourth, Kristian the Danish guy, Josiah the Yank, Nikki the INSANE Australian, Adriano our Baiano, and quite a few girls I'm sure when we weren't looking spent time in our little home. We learned so much about the culture and life here from the guys, thank you for that. This island is a place I will always remember with a smile and that I truly hope to return to. I could spend 5 days writing stories about the place, but I will let the pictures do the talking!
