Arriving In Utah
Going from pool parties in Cartagena to sitting in the Delta Airlines Sky Club in Salt Lake City airport in less than 24hours was more than a little surreal.
I was exhausted, jetlagged, dehydrated and the bent reality of this environment switch didn't help much either.
I had 2 hours to kill until Bruce arrived - I grabbed a drink from the bar, set my phone alarm to wake me up and happily passed out knowing that the next few days were going to be good.
I meet Bruce. Neil flies in the next day.
Park City
Our old man turned 70 so we figured we'd all turn up at his place for a few drinks and drag him around a golf course.
His golf prowess was impressive for a man who has never ever ever endorsed sport however he did cheat hugely by teeing up his ball for every stroke that wasn't on a putting green.
Most of the time in Utah was spent consuming vast quantities of food. The dinners were always outstanding thanks to Amandas outstanding cooking.
Couple Days in Moab
Bruce, Neil and I took a couple days away and drove down to Moab for some 4WD'ing and mountain biking.
Bruce had set the standard by letting his rampant flatulence loose in the car.
This car had it bad because Neil arrived after a couple days and ejected his noxious gases caused by a mixture of plane food and altitude.
Naturally, I needed to compete. After a few spicy burritos my talents reached their desired peak.
Next Trip
I flew out to LA, navigated through the zoo that LAX is and then headed over to the Virgin Australia check in.
Time to go back to Sydney for a quick trip to see Mum, see some friends and get to the Jimbo and Barry's wedding.
