After a very pleasant train journey from Tennoji station I arrived in Nara.A great little city.A short walk and there was the park a huge place with lakes and temples and lots of deer. The first deer I saw had a bit of a wooly coat on and looked the worst for wear and my first impression was "thats not a goat, thats a deer!".The next deer however looked suitably Bambi like. Now the internet is full of tales about how pushy and annoying and agressive these cute little bambi's are but I didnt see much of that. Some didnt mind a little pat but most ran away if i got to close.but i wasnt waving biscuits in there faces! Todai ji temple with the giant buhdda was truly amazing! A building that size! made out of wood! those structures are as impressive to me as the giant statuary, which are really impressive!
Then my battery for my camera ran out luckily after todai ji so you wont get to see my wanderings through glade and woodland and frolicking with deer in my further wanderings before returning after a chicken teiryaki and egg crepe, to tennoji station.where i got lost trying to cross over to the abenobashi side of the road.
I mean I just wanted to get to the other side of the road! Why is it so difficult! I got there in the first place o.k. After wandering endless tunnels and malls and coming out in the wrong place and going back(sounds bad, but its all good!) then I caught the eye of one of those information girls in the uniform.I think she was bored because she headed straight for me.A lovely girl who lived in Adelaide for a while, she litteraly walked me round the block to where i could find my street.I love Japan.

Nara looks really pretty. By the way your last entry made me really hungry- sounds like it's worth going there just to eat!
