Where I stayed
The first day we went to two different lakes with great views and clear water. The next day we went to Indian Head which is the most easterly point of Australia, and looked for dolphins andf wales and sharks but could only see them in the distance jumping through the water. We then walked to our next spot as there was no track and the tide was high so could not drive. A place called Champaign pools, where the sea crases over the rocks then fills up the water with bubbles, hence the champaign. We also saw a shark there, have some good photos of that
Back to the camp site and played drinking games and had another BBQ.
The final day was great too.We started off at a place which had layers of multi coloured sand, called the pinancles then we went to a ship wreck which has been there since the 1930's. Once we left there went to a creek which has natural water flowing into the sea. Finally we went to Lake Mckensie, which was amazing, but did not have long there as this was where we were stuck on route to here, and we had to catch the ferry.
Overall it was a great few days and had some good people in the van which helped alot. Back at beaches hostle now in Harvey Bay for one more night then off to Airlie Beach on the overnight bus, so will miss all the football. But will have a trip on a boat called "Spank Me" which takes me around the Whitsundays and the reef.
