After the flat landscape of western Oklahoma and Texas, I was pleasantly surprised by the hills of eastern Oklahoma!
I visited the Gilcrease museum, founded by Thomas Gilcrease, which has the most amazing collection of Indian and western art.
Gilcrease was 1/8 creek Indian and received the 160 acres of land he was entitled to at age 9. It turned out there was oil under this land and he was a multi-millionaire by 20!!!
I then headed to Fort Smith, AK, on the Muskogee Turnpike and I-40.
I have to be in Memphis to meet Pat tomorrow evening, it looks like Memphis is also CST so I don't loose another hour just yet.
Then Thursday its on to Graceland to hang out with The King!!!!
