The day started out bright and early when Papa Kehoe woke Ian from his slumber to accompany Mama Kehoe to the Oink Oink Farm to pick up the entertainment and dinner for the evening, Babe.  After preparing the BBQ, the cooking began promptly at 930am.  Six hours later and twelve 180 degree turns later Babe was ready (I can't believe I'm writing about this, but Ian tells me I have no choice).

Between rotations of Babe, along with our good friends Keith and Martin, we accomplished a long list of chores.  We raked the leaves, vacuumed the pool, filled the tiki torches and borrowed tables and chairs from the neighbours (whether they were home or not).  During all of this, Mother Nature teased us with ominous clouds and the smell of rain (a claim Ian makes but I don't believe).  Kindly, she held out until the guests arrived at 3pm.  Once everyone was settled outside enjoying the company, we were given a little taste of what she had up her sleeve.  Luckily, Grampa Kehoe was around after the rain stopped to direct the mopping and sweeping of the deck to ensure maximum efficiency and to ensure we could move all the guests back out into Peter and Judy's lovely backyard.

During all of this, Pauline White and her sous chef for the day, Ian, carved Babe up to perfection.  During this process, Ian demonstrated an interesting fascination with Babe's head.  After insisting on showing the head to several disgusted guests and posing for countless pictures, Ian has rethought this fascination and feels horrible (Ian apologizes).  Dinner was a success!  Many thanks to everyone who contributed to dinner.  Everything was delicious!

Next came the infamous speech.  Ian would also like to apologize to the friends and family he may have given heart attacks to.  We are not engaged.

On a more serious note, as many of you may have noticed, we had a box out at the party to collect donation for The Real Uganda.  We are so pleased to announce that we raised an amazing $1405!!!  Thank you to everyone who came out.  It is really special knowing that we have such a huge support system.  We are so lucky.  In case we didn't get talking to you, the money will be used for things such as buying supplies for the school we will be teaching at and other things the village may need.  If you have any questions please feel free to post them.

Thanks again and we will write again soon!

Love Jess and Ian
