Bromo! Never mind the extremely early start (3am)....it was more than worth it! We got a jeep to the first view point where we could see the sunrise (with a lot of other tourists). Such a weird landscape, it didn't look real at all! Back on the jeep to go to the actual active volcano (just puffs constantly) and a bit of a hard walk to the top, avoiding locals selling horse rides. So cool. The sensation of being on top of a smoking volcano is quite hard to describe. We loved it.
