Sono fuori dal tunnellellelle' ... of Cu Chi! Quite narrow and claustrophobic experience even though the tunnels that are open to tourists have been enlarged. Amazing to see all the different traps the Viet Cong used during the war (most of them were used for animals and were made from bamboo). They look very painful and the guide even got his pants stuck in one as he demonstrated!
Then onto the shooting range where I got 10 bullets for an AK47 for around US$13. They lasted around 1 second! Still very enjoyable, if not deafening. We had a very funny guide for this tour with a name that cannot be pronounced (means Ms. Quiet) that was never quiet and kept singing random songs both English and Vietnamese. (And Italian too!!! She was singing "Gianna" di Rino Gaetano).
Definitely a mixture of feelings in one day.
