On arriving in Marrakech it's takes a 5min walk to get to our hotel, Hotel Corail. Sam is a little unwell from the bus trip so has a lie down for 1/2 hr before dinner.
We meet the others downstairs  about 7pm for the 20-30min walk along Av Hassan II & Av Mohammed V to Place Djemaa el-Fna for dinner.
Our restaurant tonight is makeshift stall, setup every arvo about 4pm. We are ushered through the square to Restaurant 47 (I think) to a long table covered with paper and our diner settings. Dinner is a degustation of olives,bread & dipping sauce, a salad of rice, beetroot and other cold veg (see the pics), another mixed plate of egg plant, green capsicum and other, chicken brochettes, lamb brochettes, beef brochettes and veg brochettes, a small spicy sausage and some calamari & chips to finish. Overall quite tasty. Sam supplies the dessert by buying some sweet treats from a guy selling them from a large trolly he is pushing through the restaurants. Then it's back to our hotel for a drink with Fatima Cous Cous as she will be leaving a day early, tomorrow, to join another Intrepid tour. But it was not to be, the hotel had 3 Flag Speciale & red wine and there was 13 of us. Most went to bed.Guess who had the beers? Then Mohammed took us and Fatima Cous Cous to a bar a couple of doors down, Bodeguita. The bars here have an endless supply of nibbles, popcorn & olives tonight. Our bars need to take note! There is live entertainment, some sung in English, pints all round and a little coaxed dancing. We meet a friend of Mohammed's, My Lord (really Milood, I hope that's right, prob not) and have another couple of drinks.
We go home about 2am leaving Fatima Cous Cous,Mohammed and My Lord to party on.

Day 2 in Marrakech and there is a knock on our about 9:15am, it is Fatima Cous Cous come to say farewell before she leaves to join here new Intrepid tour. She is looking extremely bright eyed and bushy tailed for being out late the night before. It was great traveling with her and hopefully we will get to see her in Melbourne sometime (bad luck, you did invite us!). Then back to bed for us!
Finally up about 11am and go to Amai for brunch. A great French owned cafe/restaurant just down the street. The food was fresh & tasty and the berrie smoothies were delish.
after brunch it's back to Place Djemaa el-Fna and Musee Dar Si Said. Where we meet Adrian and join an unofficial tour of the musee. We leave Adrian to sit in the sun and read the newspaper and head back to Place Djemaa el-Fna for a wonder. Late in the arvo we head to a cafe on the  square and after some deliberation we are able to score a table on the terrace at the railing over looking the square. After a couple of hours watching the snake charmers, horse & carriages, tourists, the restaurants go up and some brochettes and Oj (always fresh) plus buying the now standard souvenir t-shirt, we walk back to our hotel to shower and walk back for dinner stopping at the bottlo on the way.
Tonight's dinner is the last as a group at Restaurant Islane, upstairs on the terrace overlooking the Koutoubia Mosque Minaret.
I don't know about anyone else's meal but my lamb chops were delicious.
After dinner we walk back to the hotel and say our farewells and thank Mohamed for his services and entertainment during our tour.
Sam & I go with Mohamed to Hotel Caspien for a drink before bed.

Day 3 in Marrakech and it's breakfast at Elite as Amaia is closed. Back at the hotel Jenny & Sue are waiting for their ride to the airport so we chat and say our goodbyes. Very lazy day, spend most of the day in our room and later walk to the supermarket for some essentials, wine, cheese, crackers etc. We french for and eat at Restaurant Bagatelle. The escargot was delicious as was the calf livers. Sam has a veg soup  and beef. Profiteroles rolls and Lemon sorbet for dessert. I wished I had the Iced Nougat, I discovered the night before. Then home to bed.

Breakfast for day 4 in Marrakech is at Amaia, the smoothies -yummm. After breakfast we head to Jardin Majorelle started by a French artist Jacques Majorelle in 1942, he died in1962 and in 1980 Pierre Berge and Yves Saint Laurent repurchase and restore the gardens.
Then it's last minute shopping and head back to Place Djemaa el-Fna and the souks. Sam buys plates in a traditional(?) Berber pattern and we both buy things we will never wear.
We have dinner with Wendy, Helen and Alex at Amaia then it's back to our room to pack for our 8:45 am flight to Abu Dhabi.
