Today we had a full day in Osaka so obviously we went to Osaka Castle Park. It brought back memories for me of when I went there in April for the hanami parties but this time, we actually went in the castle.

Again, this tourist attraction, like so many others in Japan had swarms of school groups. And again, just like in Nara, they said "hello" to us many times. At one point in the day, a group of 8th graders asked me if the girl with me was my girlfriend. I said yes. They said "oh nice." They also asked me if my brother was my mom's boyfriend! It was so funny! I still get a chuckle out of it to this day. When I said no they said "oh oh, brother brother." Yes he is my brother and she is my mother. Oh Japan.

Osaka castle is an amazing castle with a really interesting and bloody history. Inside the castle was basically just a museum. Floor upon floor of displays and information about the castle origins. Worth while going into for sure because it's a once in a lifetime thing but seriously, they should liven it up a little.

It was then off to the Namba District. An area famous for it's nightlife. We walked down a couple of shopping streets and I got a sample of a whiskey highball. Disgusting. Whiskey and ginger ale out of a can. Not my cup of tea.

When dinner time rolled around, we went to an all you can eat Japanese BBQ restaurant. We had 2 hours to eat as much as humanly possible. And try we did. It was so delicious! A yakiniku (cook your own food on a grill at your table) style restaurant, we got platter after platter of various types of meat and veg. Delicious! I probably left the place 5 pounds heavier I wolfed down so much.
