Gods creation of the jungles and countless animals now surrounds me once again. Praise be to God for returning myself and bringing the equipment safely to Belize. I have been on many trips, numerous planes and busses but nothing nearly like the past three days.
God put the idea of the trip to Richard on Sunday, yet it appeared that many obstacles stood in the way from finance to who would go , would the equipment make it to Florida on time. Richard then presented me with the idea and asking if I could go. Not having been in the states since March I immediately said yes and was very excited but my logical side kicked in and I saw the many obstacles as well. The first act from God was the airline ticket. If you know airlines two days in advance is not the best if not almost the worst time to book a ticket. God provided with a very inexpensive ticket from Cancun to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Then came the question of getting radio equipment from Michigan to Florida. Very large radio equipment which now allows us to broadcast 93.7 fm in Belize city on 100.5 fm. Also fiancé was a major issue , but immediately God told me He would provide so I told Richard I will contact my supporting partners who always have been there with constant support of Gods work here in Belize. Within Hours of writing and making a few calls the support had come in and would continue to come in providing the exact amount needed to cover the trip. Praise be to God Almighty. Many people around the world began to pray for this trip and oh how God would answer these prayers. Starting of on Monday at 11 30a.m. local time I boarded a bus to Belize City, upon arrival at 1:30 pm I jumped out of the buss and caught one that was leaving for Chet maul, Mexico. After a long buss ride of five hours and many stops later I arrived in Chetamaul, Mexico. Upon clearing customs and entering the country I headed to first the oh so beautiful sight. A light in the darkness being Burger King, ahh the taste of processed cow and ketchup and delicious French fries I headed to the bus terminal. Booking my ticket I had some time about an hour and decided to go see what all the crowds and rallies were about. Not being fluent in Spanish I had no clue but had fun with the crowds and saw a new side of Mexico. Upon seeing the Mexican swat team arrive I decided it was best to find my bus and made it on time and was on my way. The normally six hour trip ended up being seven and a half due to the numerous fiestas along the way. Which I found out it was due to the Mexican Independence Day and so God in His amazing plans showed me more of Mexico and the trip continued to get better. Arriving in Cancun, Mexico at 3:30 am I decided to find a hotel and after two taxis and speaking my broken Spanish which some of which I didn't know I even knew and walking around downtown Cancun which was surprisingly empty and God angels keeping me safe, God led me to a holiday in express and not having that much money allotted for a hotel I was slightly worried only for God Again to provide and give me grace in the eyes of the hotel manager who gave me a great rate. Upon my routine of clearing my bed of animals which I realized I didn't have to do , being it not Belize and a shower I went to sleep overwhelmed with How God had provided. Waking 4 hours later I packed, swam ate breakfast and was on the go by 10:30 Having about an hour to spare I walked to Downtown again and drifted around through shops and taking in the culture. Finding a taxi at 12 30 I was headed toward the airport. Amazing I asked God for a witnessing opportunity with a driver who spoke some English. Again God provided and I had an amazing opportunity to witness to a man named hector and planted a seed and had a great time then I got to the airport and not having luggage to check I breezed through security and at 3 pm local time I was on my way. A quick hour flight I arrived at 5 due to the time change and made it through customs and found my ride my 6 15. The next 18 Hours were a blurr of shopping and eating my first meal in the US. That turned out to be Belizean of th classic stewed chicken and rice and beans thanks to the generosity of a friend of the friend of Richards that I stayed with. Getting to sleep at around 3-4am after figuring out the challenge of packing two 18 inch subwoofers and two radio antennas and other electronics and a late night run to wal mart I was ready to go. Waking at 8 again and making some more calls and packing up we left around 9 30am for the airport. Making some stops at best buy and a 15 minute dash through best buy buying vita equipment and then repacking I was good to go . With one orange plastic storage box weighing it at 79 lbs., one backpack of 30lbs, a small carry on that I passed of as a laptop case of 30 lbs and a long box containing the radio antennas of 20 lbs. Again God answered prayer and gave me grace in the eyes of the airlines who charged me half of what they could of. A quick flight and back in Mexico then 2 more busses and arriving in Cancun at 10:00 pm. Finding Richard at 10 30pm. A quick stop at burger king and deliciousness filling my mouth once again we headed for customs. As we walked in with the suff, Richard friend the chief of customs walked out and greeted us and waived us through with no charge truly a miracle of God and an answer to prayer. Reaching back home at My Refuge after both myself and Richard driving the whirlwind was finished. Sweet warmth after being frozen out by a cold 80 degrees and way to much air conditioning I was home once again. Thank you all for prayers and support. Take courage for God answers prayer often times not as we think but I assure you God answers prayer. The best prayer you can ever pray is once of giving your life to Christ. Through total acceptance of being a sinner and repentance by accepting the free gift of salvation and eternity in heaven in the presence of God. My journey of servant hood of Christ continues in Belize until November. Thank you again and continue to stay tuned via the internet at www.myrefugebelize.org. God Bless
