Waving a fond farewell to Karijini National Park, we hit the road again today. And drove. And drove. And drove. We stopped briefly in Port Headland. And that wasn't at all exciting. All salt mines and industrial stuff. Hence the fact no photos.

We therefore dragged ourselves away without further ado and headed onto our stay for the night (at a rather lush campsite - with showers, I might add!) at 80 Mile Beach which, as you may suspect, is allegedly 80 miles long! Cunning! (everything in Australia seems to be exactly what it says on the tin!!)

And, towards the end of our second phase of the tour and heading into Broome tomorrow, we had a riotous night on the beach with another tour group, drinking lots of goon (boxed wine that the aussies are rather fond of!) and playing ridiculous games including Giants Dwarfs and Wizards, in a bid to stay up long enough to see in Simone's birthday. Which we did. Just. We were snoring by 12.05am!!

Sorry, no pix of this one... it really wouldn't have been a good idea to try and take my camera onto a beach... in the dark... with a group of drunken backpackers. Just spells trouble, really!!!
