I didn't look that hard, but I felt there wasn't much to do in Pattaya, but be lazy.  So that's what I did.  I could have took a boat to an island, but that was what I was going to do in Phuket.

Pam mentioned that she worked at a salon so I went there, after breakfast on the beach, to get a hair cut.  It was located at the end of Soi 10 (Alley 10), which was only two streets over.  Everything you need is within walking distance.  The haircut was only 100 baht and her friend actually did my cut.  She owned the salon and left right afterward to meet her 60 year old farang boyfriend for lunch, shopping, or something.  She was in her mid twenties at best.

Again, I chilled with Wat on the beach and drank more beers.  Wat shared some fried fish with me he caught.  Good stuff.  I played with the local beach dog, then I saw Marmaduke.  Damn, this Great Dane was huge.  I guess picking up chicks with a dog works in any country because he had a couple of Thai girls go up to him to see the dog.  I had my first coconut drink and was surprised that the water really didn't taste like coconut flakes I had eaten before.  I guess lots of sugar is added to the processed stuff.  I tried to take some artistic photos of the beach umbrella and chairs.  You tell me if I succeeded.  You see some strange things if you sit in one place long enough here.  I got photo of a old guy doing a head stand on the beach.  Funny.  Also, when I looked at all the para-sailing in the horizon, you would think some of them would get tangle up together.

The day was getting late so I went back to the hotel to shower and change because I was meeting Pam at 6 when she got off.  She met me at my hotel and we decided to walk on the board walk.  For fun, I picked up an couple of baskets this old lady was carrying and, man, it had to weigh at least 150 pounds.  She was so little, I don't know how she walked all over town with it.  I paid her 20 baht because I felt bad for her.

The rest of the night consisted of hanging with the locals.  I went to a off the beat restaurant with Pam and Aut on the back of motorcycle taxis.  First for me again.  The restaurant was owned by the same people as on the beach.  I could tell because the menu was the same.  The food was good and I paid for everything to express thanks for showing me around.  I think the total was 20 US.  I met the cook and a couple of lady boys.  One tried to kiss me on the cheek during a photo.  The other posed, on a motorbike with a dress and high heels on, for the camera.  They acted extremely feminine and I think the cook was gay too.

After dinner, Pam said she needed to buy a suitcase for the trip.  Picked one up then we went to her place to pack.  It was awful.  It was one room with a fan.  It had dirty walls and smelled horrible.  Her roommate was drunk passed out on the shared bed.  Pam seemed to have motherly instincts and was wiping off her friend's face and neck.  At first, the hotel desk was going to charge me to go up because this place was commonly used by prostitutes.  No wonder it was only 200 US a month.

Could take it anymore so I left so I could get up early.
