I remember telling my friend Ali about my desire to dive with giant river otters in Patagonia, well, I didnt quite get round to that as they seem to be quite thin on the ground round here. Instead I had the opportunity to have a dive with the LoboŽs (or as we know them, sealions). Of course I jumped (in) at the chance. Its the single most expensive thing Ive done so far at $470 pesos for a wreck dive and the sealion extravaganza, but I figured that I could just about afford 80 quid...

It was the first dive Id had since Costa Rica, a year and a half before and it was good to get wet again! Sealions have a fierce reputation, especially amongst all the fish I spoke to, and they can be quite dangerous on land in particular at this time of year when there are pups around.
