We ate breakfast about 3 times and then headed to the bus stop to catch a ride to Nevişehir to then catch a ride to Derinkuyu to see the underground city. It was awesome, pretty freaking awesome to go down about 100 meters (maybe a bit less). We end up befriending two Australian older ladies on the bus ride there and they asked us to join them on their tour of the underground city. We learned a lot about the cities and how up to 10,000 people lived down there for months at a time. There's so much information to say but I sort of am tired. Sorry. :).You had to hunch over to go through the tunnels and rooms. After coming out of the ground and emerging into the heat and the sun, we treated the ladies to çay and had it under an umbrella on the grass. Morgan got a bit tired and I think the dramatic change in elevation effected her sinuses a lot so instead of heading to Ilhara Valley we headed back to Göreme to chill. After chilling for a bit and cooling down we got some dinner at the hostel and then headed out again for a light dinner later in the night. From there one of the waiters took us to his shop and Morgan threw some pots on the wheel. Then we came back to the hostel and went with one of the receptionists to sunset point and it overlooked the whole city. Oh man, it was gorgeous to see the whole city at night and the cities beyond as well. His best friend picked us up and we took a nighttime tour of the city and since it was starting to get late, Morgan and I decided to go back to the hostel and relax (we're old ladies).
