Arrived in Seattle a couple of weeks ago. Been super busy with finalizing the fishing boat details and hanging out with Meg. She left yesterday (5/27) to spend her summer off in San Diego and then its back to Hawaii for one more year of nursing school (almost there, babe). Meg had a family connection in Seattle, so we had an awesome lakefront studio to rest ourselves each night. The family was very welcoming and we can't thank them enough (thx one more time, john & karen).

Seattle has plenty to offer, whether its live music, festivals (Folklife), underground tours, ferry rides, hiking, boating, bike riding, irish pubs, City Center (space-needle & experience music center), public markets (Pikes), seafood (salmon & oysters), famous houses (Bill Gates) and much more. My favorite and must for everybody is the Underground Tour. This tour is under the streets of Pioneer Square. Many of Seattle's present storefronts are the second story of the original buildings. Seattle experienced major sewer complications in the late 1800's and had to fill all the streets with backfill to restructure their infrastructure. The tour is amazing......just see for yourself!

I'm still hanging around Seattle due to my unfinalized fishing start-date. The company is still deciding what boat i'll be working. I could either be on a boat that leaves June 3rd or 10th. It's very frastrating, but i'm trying to be patient. Hopfully my next entry will be for Alaska.......cold summertime....yikes
