Ended up staying an extra night at the local hostel (total of 3 nights). But then i was introduced to someone who lives here and he grew up close to my hometown. He has been kind enough to let me sleep at his place until i leave for Seattle (thx, man). It sure beats paying for a hostel (gonna owe you some beers).

As for the city of Portland, it has much to offer for the person who is into outdoor activities. Some are easily accessible by walking but camping/hiking activities are in need for a car (as i've found out). Plus the mass transportation doesn't service these locations. After meeting Cory, he is my connection to this spots (man, i owe you again). So this weekend will be a hiking/camping trip to an unknown destination at this point.
