Once in San Francisco, i met with my hometown (IN) friend, Josh. Josh and his roomates have been kind enough to open their couch during my stay. Josh and i have been doing alot of reminiscing and catching up. Josh continues to expand his musical background with his new band (Maus Haus). He also is opening my interests into new musicans. San Francisco is definitely a great city for musicans and artists. It has much to offer them
Haven't seen too many of the city's sights yet. But i did manage to catch a couple of bands at an old-school venue (The Great American Music Hall). This venue was grandest nightclub of its time (opening in 1907). The French architecture was most definitely elegant and elaborate craftsmanship. Much history there, if you're interested check their website (http://www.gamh.com/). I did spend yesterday in the Golden Gate Park. Walked around there for much of the day. Went thru the recently rebuilt Academy of Science. The revenated building had been built to LEED standards (Platinum status). The academy has much to offer; including but not limited to, aquarium and rainforest exhibits. The city has been fun so far...........look forward to seeing more.
