After Kanchanaburi I was going to head back to Bangkok for the train up north, but talking to a few people I realised I could go through Ayuthaya instead, so took the local bus here. Its the ancient capital of Thailand and full of amazing ruined temples that I spent a day cycling round. Some funny bars too where I met a whole load of international travel types, including the London girls I met in Kanchaburi (still one day ahead of me). Just the one night here and the the sleeper train up to Northern Thailand.
