...we decided to head to the busiest part of Phuket which is Thailands most touristy bit, becuase we were getting tired of the island thing. So we headed to Patong on the west coast of Phuket. We managed to book a hotel before we got there and it turned out to be one of the best yet the cheapest we'd been in - bout 5 quid each per night!!

...Lonely planet described Patong as 'seedy but not creepy' so we weren't quite sure what to expects. The busiest street is one called bangla which has loads and loads of bars on it. Then going off bangla there are lots of soi's (streets) each having at least 20 more open air bars down it, all playing the same music.

...We enjoyed the place so much we ended up staying here 6 nights and went out every night! One night we went to this place called safari, which is a nightclub outside of patong. We got there and it was like a nightclub in the jungle! It was pretty weird because it had a climbing wall and stocks (like the things you get at fairs) where you could throw water at ladyboys!! lol

...After spending the first few days recovering from the night before we decided that we should go see a bit more of Phuket, during the day. So what better place than Phuket Zoo!! Although we didn't get there till bout 3 in the afternoon because we were so hungover. Once we got there we were told that there were 3 shows - a monkey show, crocodile show and elephant show! Monkey and Elephant show pretty much pi**ed us off because the stuff they had them doing were crazy and it didnt look like they looked after them very well.
BUT, the croc show was quality! These 2 carzy thai guys, were putting there hands inside crocs mouths and picking em up. And for the finale they put there head inside! Check out the pics once i get them uploaded.
We then decided to head over to see the tiger, but the tiger cage was empty...shame! We then walked around the corner and there is this huge bengal tiger laid on a concrete bed, and you could go and have your photo taken with it. We were persuded to have a photo taken too - So we sat down and sorter hovered our arms over its back, but the thai guy came and grabbed our arms and shoved them round this tiger, saying, 'you hug tiger!' So weve gotta a photo of us all with our arms around a bengal tiger! Only in Thailand!
The worrying thing is that the guy that was taking the photo only had one arm! mmmmm....wonder what happened there!

...The rest on Patong we spent drinking and meeting people whilst out. We got speaking to some australian girls, sweedish girls, thai girls (although they look slightly stranage on the pic..have a look), greecian girls, and the thai police (again look at the pictures)!

...and its true what people say about the aussies, they're crazy and swear sooooo much! We've been speakin to some aussie's in our hotel and they are crazy...cant wait to get to Sydney!

...Gonna have a 12 hour bus ride back to Bangkok for our last night..cant wait!
