We rented what had to be the only automatic car available for rental in all of Italy. How were we to know it was a big national holiday weekend? Not comfortable driving a stick and fearful of driving Italian streets to begin with, we were on the verge of panic. Luckily they had a Fiat Punto available and we drove out of Florence (an adventure in itself). We were on our way to Tuscany and Montignoso to stay at Il Bottaccio for two nights. Il Bottaccio was probably the nicest place we have ever stayed in. It was a gift from a good family friend.
