We left for Camaguey city at 8am in a small bus with about 10 other 'gringos' and our guide, George (pronounced "Whore-Hey" in spanish!) Camaguey city had been planned to foil pirates attempts to find their way about. The streets weren't at right angles but went off every which way, making it difficult for pirates, I'm sure, but also for gringo tourists.
Our guide took us to the requisite cigar factory and rum factory and then on to the central square of the city where we were eventually turned loose.
