It´s always good to be on a plane bound for Honolulu! While we only had 6 days to visit, we were sure to jam-pack each day. Our good friends, Jordan and Michelle, met us from snowy Michigan and we tried as best we could to show them our favorite places. Luckily, our good friend and former landmate, Amy, from the Big Island, also made it out to visit.
Thanks to the Potters, our former landlords and forever Hanai family, we had a roof over our head, great food in our bellies, and of course, Bob´s great stories. No less thanks to Matt and Lydia, who also gave us a roof over our heads and eggplant parmesean we´d been talking about since the last time she made it for us. It was also great to see Matt and Nat, and personally thank them for making our trip to Mae Tha Chang, Thailand, possible.
We beached it, hiked to tide pools and waterfalls, and camped and BBQ´d at our favorite spot.
In addition to plenty of R&R, we both got to visit our former co-workers. Jay got to hear a legendary escape story from some of his old students. Susie had a delicious lunch and a great time catching up. It was wonderul to see everyone again, mahalo and aloha.
