Bandipur is a special place. While it is on the tourist map, it retains its original character and spirit. It is perched high on a mountain top, providing a surreal view of the Himalayas. In addition to gazing at the peaks, we spent hours sitting in the bazaar and watching the locals go about their daily lives. The village was filled with children who were excited to meet us and have their photos taken. We were lucky to spend Thanksgiving here, feasting on Indian curries while waiting for the power outage to end.
