We did a good old fashioned road trip with Marieta and Bill and our first major destination was Budapest, Hungary. It was a city where East meets West, and there is quite a melting pot of cultures. There are countless historical sights to see, and we did our best to see many of them, taking a bus tour one day, and a boat tour the next day down the Danube River, which splits the formerly independant cities of Buda on the western bank, and Pest on the eastern. There are a lot of interesting communist era historical sights, an amzing palace, loads of beautiful old churches, temples and mosques, and also the baths for which Budapest is well known.
