So pokhara is a much better place than kathmandu. Its set by a lake with mountains surrounding it. the only problem is that is is so cloudy and dusty that you cant see the himalayas around the city. REally dissapointing. But what can you do. I met a guy from norway who works for docotrs without borders ( a non profit) and he has had some really interesting experiences all over the wolrd including bangladesh, nigeria, lebanon, and uganda. And he goes to the worst places at the worst times to help, so i get a whole new different view of the world. Also i in our little group is a nice girl from australia so we had many very interesting conversations. they just went trekking up to this hill and i stayed back. an hour after they left, golf ball sized hail started rianing down out the sky! i'm sure glad i didnt go with them! I think i am gonna do a kayaking course and wait a little while to see if the weather clears up before i go trekking.
