We took the bus to Da Nang today, and then a taxi to a guesthouse called Hoa's Place on China Beach. It's a really awesome guesthouse which is really laid back. They have communal dinners every night which are good value and great fun, and you keep a record of your own tab in the book...its all based on trust, and nobody would bother ripping them off cos the owners are so nice.

We spent our time here relaxing on the beach, which was super as we havent seen the sea since we left Clevedon! The sea was really warm and there was no-one on the beach so it was really nice and quiet. One night we bought a $1 bottle of local rum and had some drinks with some people we met who were from Bristol which was good fun. We also bumped into some people who we crossed the China/Vietnam border with so that was random!
