On the 3rd we packed everything we had left and caught the bus to Nairobi. We grabbed a quick lunch and then hopped on another bus to the airport. The ticket conductor was cheeky and said we had to pay for an extra seat for our luggage, so we put everything on top of us. Getting on the flight and the flight itself was a breeze to our transit destination, Mumbai.

We arrived at 2am on the 4th in Mumbai. As we had no transit visa we had to stay in the departure lounge, and were told that at 11am somebody would meet us to check us in. We had a rest and then met the lady on time. She returned to us with no boarding tickets, saying that our names were showing on the flight but the tickets weren't linked up, so we had to call our agency. We explained that the office was closed and the flight would be gone by the time we spoke to someone. She told us there was nothing they could do. One passenger lent us his phone, gave us his SIM and even £20 for food, as the airport refused to help us in anyway. Once the UK branch were open we were back and forth for hours. Still nothing was resolved and so we were told to pay £2500 for another flight! We found one for £550, but even still this was money we just didn't have. And we had to fly via Oman (next to Saudi Arabia) to get home!

In the early hours of the 5th we boarded the Oman flight which was full of muslims. Although we didn't see much, just a glimpse from the plane, Oman looked very nice! We had to transit here for 6hours, and then finally after a lovely flight we arrived in London. We still had to get a bus to Victoria, wait there for a few hours and then get an overnight bus to Newcastle. We arrived in Newcastle at 5am, and after a cramped bus and 3 days worth of little sleep we were groggy, but so excited to be back. We began walking home, then the heavens opened! There was nothing we could do but burst out laughing.
