Having picked up Jules from Denver airport, we started on our way to Vegas. The scenery along the route was absolutely stunning, and made the drive fly by. As did the commentary that my passenger decided to provide which included such nuggets as, "..those mountains have a real 3-D quality, don't they?" and "I can't get used to driving on this side. I feel like we should be going the other way." With comments like these littering the journey and the temperature rising from 13 degrees Fahrenheit to 85 degrees Fahrenheit, it was quite an odd experience. Lots of fun though. If you call sliding all over the road, high up in the mountains of Colorado, with frozen windscreen washer fluid leading to zero visibility, fun. Which I do.

So we got to Vegas and have had lots of fun, which is pretty much the way of things in this city. The sun has been shining, the beers have been flowing and whole periods of days have been lost, always the formula for a successful stay.

Off to LA tomorrow where I hope to become a serious actor/waiter.

It has been noted here that the pics from Connecticut look like something out of Deliverance. Would you care to comment on this and your relationship with the pooch?

Banjo anyone?

Jo Eaton on

Agree that $15 is too much.

Whoa. We're miles apart, I'm in Seattle, WA until Friday morning.

If you can find me, you can buy me a beer! :-)

PS - Internet is $16 a night here, after paying $196 a night for the room. A bargain at half the price.

If he says he's buying you a beer make sure you have a 20 in your pocket. Just in case like...
