Am sat at Houston airport waiting for my mate, Rich, to come through the doors and into the Arrivals lounge. Hopefully, he'll play the game with US customs and keep his head down, maintain a blank expression and temporarily put all suggestions of a personality to one side. Follow these rules and he'll make it through without any drama. I shall keep a close eye for the tell tale limp, a refusal to make eye contact and general mutterings about not looking like a criminal.

He's already been delayed and I'm not too sure where that leaves us because when I commented a couple of days ago that it would be 47 hours until I saw him, he said that for him to see me, it would only be 41. Not too sure how that works but I think a misunderstanding of time zones might have something to do with it. If he's right though, I may have already seen him, or not be at the airport, or maybe I haven't even left Dallas yet. Who knows?

Am looking forward to his stay and if I wasn't dead inside, I might even be excited about the whole thing. As it is, I'll have to settle for my default state of indifference.

 Thought of the Day

Why do airports think that we'd even want to steal their trolleys?

For reference

I've forgotten where I parked
