So a quick ferry over the the island and instantly we knew we were onto a winner. The island is just beautiful and a huge difference from the mass sprawl of townsville.
We stayed at koala beech bungalows, teeming with koalas and lots of bird life, including these weird little Grey things that hiss at you when approached and of course the possums.
We went on a wildlife tour holding snakes, lizards and croc (even if they were small) then chilled at this lovley resort and that night were kept awake by most of these little critters!!!
The next day we went hiking in the bush to another remote beech, watching out for the killer death adders on track.
In all we didn't spend enough time here and should of spent an extra day, but time was running out and we continued our trip onto Cairns
