Straight off the over night bus from Sydney and onto Bondi beech to chill in the sunshine, not a bad new years eve......
We woke Cleggy up about 8am dumped out stuff and relaxed on the beech with a couple more hundred people, celeb spotting...well Richard Branson who seemed to be on every news network. We were crashing in the cleggs stuning bondi apartment with Al (his brother) and michelle (his misses).
Later in the evening we took a ferry from Circular keys to East Balmain for our first views of the famous sydney harbour and onto a house party over looking the harbour bridge. It was a great evening with spectacular views of the fireworks along the harbour. It all seemed quite a sorber afair until we went another house party, Mikes house a friend of Scotts from jersey. His punch first me off and I passed out on the table. Thanks to the boys who played fruit jenga on my head, hence hes got a pineapple on his head.
Hungover and awake on a bed next to limus, I woke out got the breaky in and then on our first day of 2007 we went on another boat across the harbour to manly. Manly is another stunning location in Sydney near the north head of the harbour. We went sea kayaking and cliff jumping to resolve the hangover, on the way we spotted penguins while but thankfully no sharks.
An easy night and a good sleep later we spent the following day sight seeing, along the harbour, bontanical gardens and opera house (which is amazing!!!). We met the al and matt later, they had been a the cricket and started the drinking games...a few beers later in paddington, we ended up in Kings Cross at a dodgy night club and another hangover.
The next day was all about finding a car to go up the coast with, which we did after a couple of hours searching for a good deal. Later we took out first surfing lesson at bondi. Lots of fun, but hard work on the arms and I got stung by a jellyfish on my face...
Next day was a cricket day, I met up Paul from sanofi in the crowd and of course another england defeat was on the cards, again another pretty chilled night.
We picked the car up the next day and headed off East towards the Blue Mountains..
