What a long but amazing day....
I arrived in US niagara at 7 am after a 9 hour bus journery from New York. The spent an hour finding somewhere to store my bag beofer seeing the American side of the falls. The Aemrican town is a bit of a shit hole and didn't spend much time before getting my stuff and wandering around for another hour to watch the football.
After watching England win I crossed the border into Canada. Niagara on this side was much better and more like a resort town.
After another hour walk to store my bag at the bus station and another 1 and half hours wandering around to find a cash point that took my card.
Once this was all sorted i reward myself with a hotdog and a ride on The Maid of The Mist, a boat ride into the falls. Clever Hodge had his diving camera and therefore I took some great pictures in the falls.
One more bus journey into Toronto, sorted.....

Canada Eh!
Mate it's wicked reading about your trip. Am sooo jealous you've know landed in Canada. While you're in Ontario, try and get to Algonquin National Park and if you're up for a 27 hour train journey, go up to the Arctic to the Cree indian reserve of Moosonee. These were two of the highlights for me of Ontario (as well as getting chased by the moose in Algonquin).
Keep the stories coming

Maid of the What?
Looks like Mist is a bit of an understatement!
Had a shite day back at work after 2 weeks off so now counting the days till my trip...thanks for the inspiration!
Arrrghhhh No time
Hi Lorraine,
Only got another couple of hours in Toronto, I hadn't really planned to go here but wanted to see Niagara which was amazing. Funny watching everyone run to the front of the boat to take pictures then run away when they got soaked.
I fly out to San Francisco tomorrow, its been fun though found myself in the middle of Mardi Gras yesterday and got free food at the 30th Birthday of CN tower, great when your on a budget. Not to sure about the stocky french canadians in white vests at the hostel, no bending over in the showers
Re: Maid of the What?
When are you flying out and where to?
Hopefully catch on the way
Envy you big time!
You are so, so lucky, dream of doing the same trip just waiting for the kids to finish university and then taking a gap year....cant wait.
Enjoy every minute mate, but take care and keep safe
Jacx:)
