We went to the Santa Cruz Valley to climb Alpamayo, but found the route way too busy for our liking. Sorry, but we don't like climbing technical routes behind multiple parties and having ice fall in our face! Instead, we opted for the aesthetic North Face of Quitaraju (6,040m).

After making it back to Huaraz, we found that our friend Verdi made it to town and spent a couple days hanging out with him. We took a rest day, then went rock climbing in Hatun Machay, a popular sport climbing area.

Now, we are in beautiful Arequipa, getting ready to do some more climbing!
