July 4, 2011: Rest in Huaraz, shop for the next outing
July 5, 2011: Depart from Huaraz at 10am, then a collectivo from Caraz to Peron. Begin hiking from Peron (3400m) at 3pm and set camp below Laguna Peron (4200m) at sunset.
July 6, 2011: Hike to Moraine Camp (4800m).
July 7, 2011: Summit Day. Start at 4am, summit Artesonraju (6025m) at 12:30pm, downclimb and arrive at the Peron Glacier at 6pm, make it back to Moraine Camp at 8pm.
July 8, 2011: It's a little windy outside and we sleep in until the sun hits the tent. Leave Moraine Camp at 11am and leisurely hike to the trailhead. We begin descending down the road towards Peron and get picked up by a collectivo halfway down. We get a ride to Caraz, then catch another collectivo to Huaraz, arriving at Jo's Place at 8pm.
July 9, 2011: Eatin' lots of fruits and veggies and chillin' in front of the TV in Huaraz.
July 10, 2011: Prepare for next outing.
