We escaped Boston to see our Pen Pals from New Bedford at the New Bedford Whaling Museum. Shari's pen-pal was Tyrell. Cori's pen-pal was Tatiana. Tyrell was very quite because Shari was talking. So it balanced out nicely. Tatiana was a bit shy but she had interesting things to say.

They sang the Whale Song and another song they originally sang at some event with a Grammy Award singer, whose name we forget. HMS did the Paul Revere poem. We also chant as they arrived.

We toured the museum. One women was explaining the relationship between New Bedford, Hawaii and Alaska. Some of us got to dress up playing different roles from Whale hunter, Hawaiian Chief, mom and daughters, Eskimo whale hunters.

We also saw a 1/2 scale model of a whaling ship. We got to see where the crew slept in the bow of the boat and got to experience the effort it took to raise anchor and raise the sails.
