Today is Wednesday! When I woke up this morning, I had a bunch of homework to do. Our music class requires us to read quite a bit, so I spent the whole morning reading for that. I did have some breakfast in-between (toast, egg, pineapple, water), but most of the morning was spend with my head in my book.
An interesting thing happened today while I was working on my homework. A parade of cars with balloons and advertising signs drove by. There were probably at least 20 cars and they were all playing loud music and constantly honking their horns to get attention. It was super annoying, but I have to admit, it worked! I came to the window to see what was going on and ended up watching them pass by for a few minutes. What a creative way to advertise!
Music class is always something new. We are consistently learning about new artists and seeing new videos on the computer. I'm a little worried about the tests and readings and such. There’s just so much to know! It isn’t so bad, but I am going to have to really study to do well on the tests in that class.
After music, Holly and I went home for lunch. We have less time in the afternoon before our Music class on Mondays and Wednesdays, so we had to hurry to eat. We had soup and these fried tuna nuggets. They were pretty good. As soon as we were done eating, Holly and I hurried back to school. During our business class, we talked about attitude again. We also covered globalization, sustainable development, and how we would divide money toward programs to help create a sustainable nation state. It was interesting, that’s for sure. I always enjoy that class because we have great discussions. It is neat, too, because we sit in a circle and all have opportunity to talk.
Well, so much for not falling down in the streets for a while. On the way home from school after class today, I was walking in flip flops. I was right in the middle of a large street with cobblestones. I must have stepped wrong on one of the cobblestones, because I fell right down on my butt. I was wearing a dress, too, so that was wonderful. It didn’t fly up too much, but I’m sure it didn’t look graceful. I scraped my knee a little, but not too badly. There was this really professionally dressed guy who ran to help me up. It was really nice of him. I was physically fine. I was more embarrassed than anything. I guess I’ve fallen now, so I have nothing to fear. Haha.
Holly and I walked home immediately after class today. We decided to go on a run around our neighborhood for exercise. We got in our exercise clothes and did about a ˝ hour run. It was really great! I didn’t run the whole time, of course, because I’m not in shape, but it was a good start, at least. I’d like to try to do that twice a week or something. Running feels so good! Anyway, after our run, we took showers, had our dinner, and hung around the house.
