I arrived in New York City early Saturday morning and caught the bus to Rockefeller Center.  A girl on the bus started chatting with me.  She was from Germany and also had a long layover, so I invited her to come along with me to meet my friend Shane.  We went by the 75th Christmas tree and then met Shane at Carnegie's Deli.  I have always wanted to  have lunch there and I finally did! 

It was great to catch up with an old friend and meet a new one unexpectedly.  I met so many wonderful people along this trip.  Definitely a worthwhile trip! 

Now that I'm home, I have to actually get back to work...

Heather, you are a CRAZY woman!
Your travel journal is the best! I love all of the photos, and of course the way you described all of your experiences. It was almost like I was there with you. Speaking of that, Michael is really upset that you didn't invite him to join you. He would have actually escorted you there.

Well, keep traveling and enjoying life. And definitely keep writing and sharing.
