Arrived in Atlanta, home, last night around 10 p.m.  Lynn, one of my mom's best friends and someone I've considered my aunt all my life, picked me up at the airport.  She actually used her sky miles to get me home at such a expedient manner...  We headed to the hospital to see my mom.  My friend Michele met us at the hospital.

My brother Greg arrived at the hospital early in the a.m. to take me to get my mom's car, so I have transportation throughout the week.  Several of my good friends called throughout the day.  Thank you!  It was great to talk, but it would have been better under other circumstances.

Mom was quite groggy this morning when they came to take her to get her MRI.  It seems a blood clot caused the stroke, so they have her on blood thinners now.  She had a continuous flow of visitors during the day...  Michele and Shannon - friends of mine - came over to visit.  Michele and I headed out to dinner while a friend of my mom's watched her this evening.  She's progressing...  We're just waiting on a report on the next steps.  I'm pretty worried about her being alone going through this, but I'm sure we'll figure it out.

On a side note, it felt very odd to be in Atlanta right now.  I had mentally prepared to come home later in the month.  Things were going on this weekend that I had RSVP'd no to since I was out of town...  Yet, I still couldn't go.  Just felt like I was here, but not really...  We'll see what the rest of the week is like, especially not having to work.  It should feel rather weird...

Any case, it's late and I need to be up and about for mom tomorrow...  I'm thankful she seems to be progressing.

Prayers
Oh Heath, just checked in on your blog as it's been crazy back to school here. I can't stand to think of your mom having a stroke. Please kiss her for me. I am thinking of you and praying for you. Much, much love. Teri
