Today was like any other day.  We worked around the ranch till about 4:30 and then had a few hours to ourselves before the evening Barn Dance.  In between 4:30 and 8:30, I drove into to town to pick up some Taco Bell and to make a few calls.  I've been missing my chicas and my mom tremendously, so I had to make time to get in a call here or there.  And, while the food here is amazing, I can already tell that it gets to be a little too much at times.  Taco Bell hit the spot!

Once back to the ranch, I quickly changed and headed up to the barn to take part in this weeks Barn Dance.  Attached you'll find pictures of most of the staff.  The Ambassador is the the grey/white haired older man in one of the photos.  We had a squared dance "caller" walking us through the dances and it actually was a lot of fun, even with the men who just couldn't seem to get it down.  ;o)

I had borrowed a pair of boots from the barn to dance in and now I have terrible blisters!  Guess I'll need to go find another pair for myself.  I don't quite understand it, but guests come, buy new boots and then leave them here.  There's hundreds of boots just laying around.

On a side note, I don't believe I've talked about the water here.  The tap water is absolutely delicious and refreshing.  I would say it's better than any bottled water you could get.  From what I understand, it's from a spring nearby.  I've been drinking a ton of water given the dryness of the mountains and due to the fact that staff is only allotted water and lemonade to drink.  Kind of limits your choices.  Ha-ha!  I can't tell you how bad I crave a Diet Coke every now and again.

I guess that's all for now, it was a busy day, but the Barn Dance was definitely a lot of fun!

Giddy up,

Heather
