Not much new today, just worked on my daily chores and was off pretty early tonight.  Tomorrow is my day off (wish they weren't so close together), so you also get the night before off.  I didn't sleep too good last night - was up and about around 4 a.m. - so I stayed in tonight, watched a few shows online and chatted with my friend Justin Hijeck in NYC via AOL Instant Messenger.  He's a man with a plan to move to NYC from VA.  What he doesn't know is that a few friends and I are visiting him come Christmas time to see all the beautiful decorations!  ;o)  I guess he knows now...

Which reminds me, if you get/have AOL instant messenger, my screen name is hlminer.  I'm usually on later in the evening...  I'd love to chat at some point!!  Not having a phone is truly killing me.  Ha-ha!

So, what am I going to do tomorrow you ask?  Well, one of the college guys here, Ryan, and I are going to King Solomon Falls tomorrow.  Not sure where it is, but I've heard it's got a beautiful waterfall and is about an hour and half hike to see it.  I'll make sure to take a few photos.

For tonight, I took photos of the horses in the pasture right outside my window.  They put the horses back there tonight and I went out and had a nice cold Diet Coke and sat and watched them for a while.  Did you know horses lay down?  I didn't...  There was a horse rubbing its back today in the grass...  Pretty cute!

So, I best get to bed.  Tomorrow will come quickly and I want to make sure to get the most out of my day off...  Take care and be well.

Giddy up,

Heather

city girl
you are so silly. of course horses lay down, just not for very long. I use to nap with mine on the first warm spring days. If you get the chance to wash a horse, the first thing it will do when you release it is roll in the dust or mud.

love ya

Hi Heather,

I'm truly enjoying your adventure via the net. It's hot and humid here. Heat index to reach over 100 today. My conditioning training for the 1/2 marathon is going well. Have not missed one day yet. Will be ready for the grueling training end of September. I so envy you! Everything sounds and looks beautiful. It's amazing the experiences you will have over the next few months. Miss you here! Continue to have a blast. Just remember, when a horse lays down and rolls, don't be under it :-0 Blessings - Liz
