I finished my research in La Serena and Coquimbo so I decided it was time to head out and check out a few more places in South America.  First stop, Santiago.  I took the overnight bus with Jaun-Diego from La Serena to Coquimbo on Friday, June 15.  He had to meet his father who was flying in from Columbia.  They were going on a little father-son tour of Chile and Argentina.  I figured that I hadn't had an opportunity to see the capital of Chile (except for the airport), so I thought I would tag along. 

Great times in Santiago!  The first night we stayed in a bit of a dive, but the next night we stayed at this really great hostel which is like the Penthouse sweet of right on the Plaza del Armada in downtown Santiago.  We basically just toured around the city, visited some friends of Jaun-Diego, and ate and drank a lot.

After the weekend there, I took the subway and bus to the airport where I caught a flight to Beunos Aires, Argentina.  Stay tuned for my blog from my adventures here!
