It was another glorious day as I left for Gill's. I had to go via Tom's place (Tom owns Kerry Violin Shop) to pick up my violin as he'd been doing some work on it. Once at Gill's we started off reviewing what we'd done the previous few days - bowing technique and finger positions. A quick practice of the tune I'd learnt and Gill bowed it while I played the notes. I then learnt another song before it was time for a break. As it was such a nice day we took our violins outside and sat and played in the sunshine for the rest of the lesson. Gill told me she would come and find me if I didn't continue to play.

Chris got very excited about a new born lamb in the field opposite so Gill and I took a quick break to go and watch it try to stand up - very cute.

I went for a drive this afternoon round the Ring of Beara, very beautiful scenerey. I drove up the Healy Pass as both Peter and Gill had recommended it. From the top were the most amazing views. I ended up at the Lake at the bottom of the pass where I sat upon a rock in the middle of the Lake until the sun disappeared by the surrounding hills at around 7pm. It was still warm. I had to head back to Kenmare at this point as I had to go and see Tom again to get some strings for my violin and then I went to watch Chris, Gill and Noreen playing at a local hotel. Once again a very enjoyable evening.
