I of HI:
Time to break the blog ice, finally:)  It's been an amazing 2 weeks, with very little internet access, and now we have to catch you guys up on everything...where to start?!
Venice Beach - we aniticpated a somewhat relaxing weekend, getting ready for a long flight, but really contined our streak of celebrating we began back in Denver, a looooong time ago.  It was a weekend of brothers who became our Brotha's from Anotha Motha's - they took us in and showed us a great time, and we truly appreciate their hospitality and their friendship:)  Dirty Danowski (Beth's bro) showed us around VB, we cruised our bikes around the strip, ate the greatest banana pancakes at Benice, played vball and hackeysack, and soaked in the oddball character of this very un-LA beach scene.  I put on my pinstriped mucsle pants and showed the dudes on Muscle Beach how to pump some iron.  Not really but only because I forgot to pack them.  We rode our bikes and skateboard (pitcure Heath on a big banana board!) to the bars and they somehow carried us home after, back to Dirty's for our late-night badminton extravaganza.  We drank pitchers of margarita's with Marky Holloway and spent the late-night hours ROCKIN out at Rockband, if you haven't played it you will heart the shit out of that game!  We chilled with Mike Nieman at the Ghetty center at the top of a hill overlooking the LA sprawl, Mike inspiring us with his stories of how he lived off the grid in a tent in el Capitan for months, and how he left his lucrative architecture job and masterminded a new service that perfectly meshed his skills with his priorities and purpose.   We chilled at his Culver City bungalow - a leafy haven in the middle of LA, so tranquil you forget where in the world you are:)  We drank Mike's killer mojito's and talked life and travel with our new friends, including Mister Dan the Manross, who gave us some secrets that helped shape our adventure once we got to Fiji - we had no idea how valuable these little notes scrawled in the back of a journal would become!  Mike took us for a ritual send-off White Russian (read belly ache!) at the Harbor room - a 6x6 foot cubby hole of a bar on the way to LAX.  Lulled by a little heavy alchol, we walked our serene selves into the chaos of the international terminal!!  Hoards of people with carts and carts of boxes and baggage, and lines that disappeared around corners, to our naive disbelief:)  After checking my backpack, ( RATS! which i thought i would be carrying on an thus had nothing in the form of comfort or entertainment with me on the plane) we found a guy who got us into the fast lane and thru in time for our flight.  I feel like the $10 tip may have been too lean for that hookup!
It was a weekend of an odd sort of limbo - suspended in time, not quite real yet that we were leaving, because our focus was still on hanging with friends and celebrating - we hadn't really turned our thoughts to what we were about to jump into.  I don't think we let those thoughts come until we got on the plane and landed in Nadi and really got our feet wet.

H of HI:

Hello America! We are in New Zealand, but this entry is about LA! I'm going to keep these short and sweet with  good short storylines from each place. Cause you always gotta have atleast one good story from each adventure, right Timmay!?!?!
My first story is a threadline for our entire trip. It's about flowin'! Everytime we just go with it, everthing just comes foward perfectly. If it wasn't for helping Beth out of a jam over the holidays with a place to stay in the mountains during a blizzard, which happened to be Matt & Mike Niemans place, we wouldn't have met Dirty. Awesome place in Venice Beach, friendly roommates, useage of bikes to get around, comfy futon, badmitton in the back yard - George is king!, drunk biking and skateboarding home from the beach bars! Next day voleyball, rotating one on two's - good times eh, dirty?, & nighttime was Rockband! Need i say more? Try it, you'll like it. Sunday & actually friday as well was Q-time with Mike Neiman. Like i said about the flow, originally Mke was going to be in Mexico City for work, but because I kept putting so much in tense energy towards seeing him in LA, the universe convinced him to quit his job and start his own business, the coolest idea I've ever heard by the way, and we got to hang out 2 out of the three days. Mike's as inspiring of a person I have ever met when it comes to Livin'. Plus he introduced us to Manross, so he gave us the perfect flow for Fiji. Aweome. On to the next entry!

I:
Can't get the RATBAG pictures to upload to travelpod, so here are 4 measly LA pics, more exciting ones to come when we get to a different internet station!!   http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=11649&id=707714753
