Between my Vegas jobs jerking me around and the feeling that I was just spinning my wheels I was desperate to change my scenery.   Driving down to San Diego to see Corky and Michelle was the perfect escape.   Cork- dawg  lives on a sweet hill with a nice green view of the surrounding area.  As you can see from the pictures they live in a huge RV with a deck built  right up to it.    Its quiet, beautiful and relaxing.  I'm sure the Corky and Michelle would like me to add that they are building a house on this property and the RV is only a temporary home..... I would rather have them keep the RV and spend all that house money on gas to follow me around the country..... Anyfart, now you know their plans.
       I had not seen Corky in a long time and I could tell that he was afraid of me (me being so worldly and extremely cool)  but after a few beers and a couple of butt slaps he relaxed and once again became my loyal bitch....

       The rest of the weekend we spent doing typical Americana things.  We shot his hand gun at half empty mini propane tank (which exploded) AMERICA!  We tailgated at  Padres games with his new invention the tail gate party mate  ( www.tailgate-partymate.com ) AMERICA!  We BBQ'd and drank beer (scratched our nuts) on his epic deck that overlooks the valley. AMERICA!  Only thing missing was apple pie.....
       I was even able to catch up with Lindsey Kitchens ( friend from Uni) at a vineyard-barbecue in the country.  Turns out she is taking off from work and traveling the world for a year! The nerve of some people!  Her trip is going to be epic and makes me green with envy!
      Last but not least, Corky and Michelle live in an avocado orchard and it just so happened to be harvest season.  I was in heaven!  I love avocados but they are just so damn expensive!  I was able to pick bags full and eat as much as I wanted.  While I was there we made plans all meet in a couple weeks in Bass lake at Corky's lake house.  This is how the next entry came to be!
