Thinking I was better from my bad stomach that started in Banos, I caught a bus to Cuenca. 3 hours into my bus journey my ibuprofen wore off and I my fever returned with a friend called dysentery. I got off the bus in a random town and told the taxi to take me to the nearest decent hotel. I was shaking with fever and about to explode from both ends! I booked into a hotel room and spent 3 whole days inside doing fun sick activities. I only ventured out for food and water
Feeling much better I decided to try and make it to Cuenca again. This time I made it and was able to wonder around the city between painful gut wrenching stomach bouts. Cuenca is cool little colonial city that I saw between bathroom breaks. It was never able to stray to far from my room! Not knowing anyone and not really being able to do whole lot I used this time to recover. I needed to have a healthy stomach for my 33 hour bus journey to Peru!
