Had a fun last day in Phnom Penh going through villages & the countryside on an ATV Quad bike ride. We booked this through Blazing Trails (www.nature-cambodia)
& it cost $35 US for the half day ride. We were picked up from home by motorbikes & I had the fastest ever ride going out to their location near the Killing Fields.
The sun was burning hot & the tracks were so muddy & in places very slippery . Nath had so much mud over him that I spent most of the ride giggling as I looked at him from behind. I even got mud flicked up into my mouth while laughing at him. I didn't look much better mind you!!
We went through tracks through villages & past paddy fields & had kids running up to the road to say hello as we went past. Nath lost control and went down an embankment, stopping before hitting the water of a paddy field.
The best part was getting home & having a shower & scraping the mud off us from head to toe. Nath had a whole new look!!! Where the mud was stuck to him, proved to be a very effective sunscreen & he didn't get burnt where the mud landed. Unfortunately, the rest of him got burnt leaving this weird looking speckled red & white pattern on his shoulders, arms & legs.. I took a photo of it & that proved to give us even more laughs. You'll see when you look at it!!!
